Job summary

Quo, Inc. is seeking its first design management hire to build and lead the product design team. You will own performance, create scalable processes, and coach designers to raise craft and judgment across the design function.

You’ll stay hands-on, review work, and partner with Product and Engineering leaders to maintain a high design bar while shaping the practice and growth path for the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design management experience with end-to-end performance cycles.
• Ability to give specific, high-quality feedback that raises team output.
• Experience representing design in cross-functional discussions with Product & Engineering.
• Comfort operating across a broad product surface with evolving ownership.
• Experience using AI tools in design practice (thinking, prototyping, shipping).
• Background as an individual contributor designer to inform craft and taste.

Responsibilities

• Own performance and career development for the product design team.
• Run and improve team processes and rituals to sustain collaboration and quality.
• Coach designers toward stronger craft and sharper judgment with actionable feedback.
• Represent design cross-functionally and partner with Product and Engineering leaders.
• Stay hands-on in the work, reviewing designs and contributing to projects.
• Partner with Head of Design to set and uphold quality standards day to day.
