Job summary

North Vector Dynamics Inc. seeks a Head of Product to own the full system (missile, ground support, and launch systems) from architecture to production. You will lead architecture, requirements, verification, and manufacturing handoffs, building a strong systems engineering team.

Expect to drive SRR/PDR/CDR/PRR cycles, manage technical risk, and engage with government and defense customers. Eligible for Canadian security clearance and experienced in regulated hardware environments, Calgary-based

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems engineering, product engineering, or technical program leadership.
• Experience owning system architecture for a multi-subsystem product with traceability and verification/validation.
• Knowledge of TRL/MLR and design review lifecycle SRR, PDR, CDR, PRR.
• Hands-on experience planning and running integration, environmental, and qualification tests.
• Experience driving design-for-manufacture and handoff from engineering to production.
• Experience managing personnel across systems engineering, verification, and integration & test.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, aligning engineering, manufacturing, customers and leadership.
• Eligibility for a Government of Canada security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the system architecture across the full product: missile, ground support and launch systems.
• Lead requirements flow-down and verification planning from customer needs to subsystem specs.
• Plan and run SRR, PDR, CDR, PRR with technical trade-offs on performance, mass, cost, reliability, schedule.
• Define and execute the integration, test, and qualification strategy from subsystem to system level.
• Drive design-for-manufacture and handoff to pilot production with manufacturing.
• Build and lead the product and systems engineering organization.
• Serve as the technical voice to government and defence customers and partners.
• Own configuration management, risk, and product documentation.
