Job summary

emergiTEL is seeking a Head of Planning and Management Control (Financial Services) based in Montreal, reporting to CFO Americas. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting across the Americas, guiding a 9-person team across multiple locations.

Qualifications include 10–15 years in FP&A or financial reporting, strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and Essbase. Experience leading teams and delivering insights to senior management is essential.

About the role

emergiTEL is hiring for a client in financial services. You will lead financial planning, management reporting, forecasting and expense control across the Americas, and manage a team spread over three locations.

What you’ll do

• Lead the annual budget and the quarterly and monthly forecasts for Head Office
• Oversee monthly P&L analysis and management dashboards for senior management and the Board
• Review variances and give clear insights to support decisions
• Manage regional expenses, allocations, recharges and bonus accruals
• Lead, coach and develop your team, and improve tools and processes

What you bring

• 10 to 15 years in financial planning, management control or financial reporting
• Experience leading teams, ideally across more than one location
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and Essbase expertise
• Good knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business (preferred)
• Financial services experience (an asset)
