Qualifications

• At least two years of housekeeping supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures and laundry management with emphasis on Infection Control, Standard Precautions and Health & Safety.
• Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains and inspects housekeeping staff to meet unit standards.
• Manages personnel processes including interviews, hiring, evaluation, and occasional termination.
• Coordinates housekeeping activities with emphasis on Infection Control and Safety.
• Conducts audits and ensures proper cleaning procedures are followed.
• Oversees payroll, assignment sheets, and staff scheduling.
• Ensures security of keys and accurate staff records.
