Job summary

Nelson is seeking a Director of the French Language Program & Curriculum to steer Edwin's French portfolio, lead internal and external experts, and identify opportunities aligned with policy, curriculum and market needs.

You will collaborate with Content & Curriculum, Strategy, Sales, Engineering, Design and Marketing to deliver innovative French content and go‑to‑market strategies that grow Edwin's footprint across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with strong coursework in education or related field.
• Fully bilingual in English and French.
• 7–8 years in K‑12 French language education market across teaching, product and content development, market research and success.
• Proven track record defining, launching and managing profitable products/services.
• Strong market engagement with customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of French language curricula (Core, Extended, Immersion) for K‑12.
• Experience developing assessment strategies that support various learning modes.
• Portfolio planning across short, medium and long term horizons.
• Proactively identifies risks and builds contingencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead market insight to shape Edwin French content and features.
• Oversee content development, editorial direction, and instructional design by partnering with internal teams and external authors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to launch new content strategies and services.
• Build relationships with Francophone authors, educators, boards and experts.
• Lead and mentor a high‑performing French language team and external contributors.
