Position Title: Head of Finance (Remote)

Contract: Full-time, Independent Contractor

Location: 100% remote

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Compensation: Based on candidate experience and location, as a remote-first, international firm

The Role

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead our finance function. The role involves understanding a complex operating model and implementing changes to support strategic insights and accurate management information, enabling informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

1. Providing strategic financial support and insights to the senior leadership team (SLT).
2. Owning the process for the preparation and audit of consolidated financial statements (US GAAP and IFRS).
3. Assessing and evaluating financial performance to achieve strategic goals.
4. Leading the sourcing and implementation of new accounting and ERP software.
5. Presenting financial results, insights, and recommendations to the SLT.
6. Ensuring business objectives are measured and aligned with financial plans and budgets.
7. Recommending improvements for finance reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and modeling processes.
8. Overseeing finance IT systems, leading developments and improvements.
9. Managing and developing the finance team.

Qualifications and Attributes

1. Professionally qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, CPA) or equivalent.
2. At least 15+ years of post-qualification experience in finance or accounting.
3. Leadership and team management experience, capable of articulating financial strategies to senior leadership.
4. Strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
5. Commercial awareness.
6. Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, macros, and modeling is advantageous.
7. Experience reviewing and implementing new ERP systems is desirable.
8. Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
