Job summary

Burq, Inc. is seeking a Head of Data & AI to build the intelligence powering our delivery platform. You will design and operate a world-class data-and-ML platform, turn data into predictive models, and automate decisions at scale.

This player-coach role combines strategic leadership with deep technical execution. You will lead data engineering, analytics, and ML engineering: guiding architecture, modeling, and production deployment while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and AI

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data/ML, including 2+ years in a leadership or staff-level role owning a data or ML platform.
• You will lead a hands-on, player-coach team and drive architecture and code reviews.
• Experience building data and ML products that serve product and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Own the full data platform including warehouse, streaming, batch ingestion, semantic layer, and BI infra.
• Build production ML models and the systems around them (feature pipelines, serving, monitoring).
• Lead and grow the data/ML team and align requests with a roadmap.
• Partner with product, engineering, and analytics to deliver impact.
