iA Financial Group in Canada seeks a strategic Head of Advanced Markets & Field Underwriting to lead end-to-end complex underwriting for national accounts. You’ll anchor between underwriting, sales, risk management, and partners, building credibility and expanding distribution across Canada.

You’ll shape technical leadership in medical and financial risk, develop and position field underwriting expertise, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and deliver presentations and trainings to promote value,

In this role, you will provide end-to-end leadership on complex files, leveraging deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and field credibility. Acting as a central anchor between underwriting, sales, risk management, and key partners, you will actively contribute to promoting iA's value proposition, enhancing distribution capabilities, and supporting internal talent development.

What you’ll accomplish with us

• Assume end-to-end accountability for advanced market cases and national accounts, from pre-underwriting through to in-force servicing.
• Develop and position iA's field underwriting expertise with specialized advisors and distribution partners.
• Provide strong technical leadership in both medical and financial risk assessment.
• Analyze and assess complex sales concepts to ensure alignment with risk appetite, profitability objectives, and client experience.
• Lead and mobilize a multidisciplinary team, including underwriters, case coordinators, and specialized experts (e.g., tax, actuarial), while acting as a credible leader with internal teams, distribution partners, and reinsurers.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and training sessions, and actively support talent development and knowledge transfer.
