Job summary

Camp Quest in Canada is seeking a Head Counsellor who works closely with the Camp Coordinator to support the counsellor team and keep camp running smoothly. You’ll be a point of contact for counsellors needing help with behaviour challenges, parent communication, activity transitions, or daily logistics.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping kids have a memorable, meaningful summer.

Qualifications

• Energetic, reliable, and excited about working with children.
• Experience in camps, childcare, or leadership roles is an asset.
• Standard First aid & CPR.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and able to adapt to fast-paced, changing environments.
• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check. (18+)

Job description

The Head Counsellor works closely with the Camp Coordinator to support our counsellor
team and keep camp running smoothly. You’ll act as a point of contact for counsellors needing

You’ll also help create a supportive atmosphere where campers feel included and staff feel
confident and equipped.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and
is passionate about helping kids have a memorable, meaningful summer.

Requirements

Wage: $19/hour

Available Positions: 1

Positions: Full Time

Hours:

Full-Time: 30–40 hours/week

Shift Window: 6:45 AM - 6:30 PM

Vacation Allowance: 5 days off

Responsibilities:

Support the counsellor team throughout the summer.
