Job Description:
Join our energetic and passionate team of youth‑focused educators and help inspire confidence, creativity,
and growth in children and teens. At U+ Community, we value collaboration, innovation, and a commitment
to empowering young people. Our programs serve diverse communities and offer opportunities for youth
to explore leadership, public speaking, STEAM, recreation, and personal development.
As a Camp Counsellor, you will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and youth

crafts, STEM workshops, outdoor recreation, leadership games, public speaking exercises, and youth
leadership development sessions — ensuring programs are dynamic, accessible, and developmentally

You will communicate positively with campers, families, and fellow staff, and collaborate with other
counsellors to design programming that meets diverse needs and promotes a strong sense of belonging,
particularly for newcomer and equity‑deserving youth.
Safety and well‑being are essential responsibilities. You will supervise activities, support campers through
challenges, and use constructive conflict‑resolution strategies to help them build resilience and
interpersonal skills. Adherence to camp policies, First Aid, and CPR‑C protocols is required.
You will also support community‑focused programming that highlights mental health awareness, youth empowerment, diversity, healthy living, and leadership development. Participation in staff training and ongoing professional development will strengthen your leadership abilities and ensure smooth, high‑quality camp experiences.
