Holy Spirit Catholic School Division in Lethbridge seeks a Head Caretaker for St. Kateri Elementary School. This 35-hour work week begins November 2, 2026 and supports a K-6 campus opening in 2026/2027. The role includes supervising caretakers, maintaining a safe, clean environment, and complying with CUPE 290.
The incumbent will lead maintenance tasks, ensure safety, and engage in a Christ-centered workplace with strong leadership and initiative.

We are looking to hire a continuous 35.0 hour per week Head Caretaker to work at St. Kateri Elementary School in Lethbridge. This assignment is to commence November 2, 2026. St. Kateri Elementary School is the newest addition to our Holy Spirit schools. It is a K-6 school on the west side of Lethbridge with a scheduled opening in the 2026/2027 school year. This position is covered by the CUPE 290 collective agreement.

The Head Caretaker is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and clean environment for their school and its community. The Head Caretaker supervises and trains Caretakers at their assigned school. The Head Caretaker demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of cleaning and general maintenance. The work may require strenuous physical effort to complete all duties alongside Caretakers. The Head Caretaker must be able to complete all work tasks to a high degree of satisfaction.
