Job summary

Emera Inc. in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is offering a Winter 2027 Co-op in Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll system implementation. You will collaborate with HR, Payroll, Change Management, and project delivery teams to support transition to a cloud-based HCM solution.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in HR processes, payroll, enterprise technology implementations, stakeholder engagement, and project-based work in a dynamic business environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in the second or third year of a bachelor’s program in Commerce, Business Administration, Human Resources.
• Participating in a co-op program.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing project activities by assisting with the organization and maintenance of project plans, deadlines, deliverables, and project documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, presentations, knowledge-sharing sessions, training activities, and project workshops.
• Assist the Change Management team with the creation and maintenance of training materials, communications, job aids, and change management resources.
• Support project teams with reporting, issue tracking, meeting coordination, status updates, and implementation readiness activities.
• Create and maintain project documentation, trackers, reports, and supporting materials.
• Respond to basic user inquiries and elevate more complex issues to appropriate team members.
• Support hyper-care activities during system go-live and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
• Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, and other project initiatives as assigned.
