True North Salmon Ltd., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., is seeking an eager self-starting Assistant Harvest Manager to join the Harvest Team based out of Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick. You will support the Harvest Manager in safe, efficient harvesting operations and help coordinate crews, equipment, and vessel activities.

Responsibilities include planning daily harvest activities, maintaining safety standards, developing the team, and ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in aquaculture, fisheries, marine operations, business, or related field is assets.
• Experience in aquaculture, fish harvesting, seafood processing, marine operations, or related industry.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between operational sites as required.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily harvest activities, including crew scheduling, vessel operations, equipment, and logistics.
• Monitor harvest performance, productivity, and operational efficiency to ensure targets are met.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance and fish welfare practices.
• Assist with staffing, onboarding, performance management, and team development.
• Monitor harvesting and fish handling to support welfare, quality, and food safety requirements.
• Maintain operational records and assist with tracking production results and costs.
• Support maintenance and asset management of harvest equipment and assets, including MaintainX.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reliability.
