Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant Certificate in social services or Grade 12 with 2 years of related experience.
• First Aid Level 1 certificate is required.
• Familiarity with harm reduction, addiction, mental health resources is expected.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
• Strong boundaries with clients and ability to handle challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, coordination, and education of Lookout’s Harm Reduction program and the Needle Distribution program.
• Assist staff and managers with implementing approved harm reduction practices.
• Provide assistance to clients by identifying and sharing information on resources.
• Maintain related manual and computerized records.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe, supportive environment and respond to emergencies.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and respirator safety requirements.
