Job summary

PHS Community Services Society is seeking casual/part-time Mental Health Workers to support marginalized people at our properties in Vancouver. You will respond to emergencies, especially overdose, and work within housing projects as part of an experienced team.

We operate 24/7 with night and weekend coverage. The role emphasizes harm reduction, compassionate support, and the ability to work collaboratively across programs and shifts within PHS housing and services.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• 1-2 years' experience working with marginalized populations is an asset.
• Non-judgmental, compassionate, harm reduction approach.
• Class 5 Driver's Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide harm reduction, support, and housing services for residents.
• Safety and security measures.
• General cleaning duties for the project or program.
• Crisis intervention/de-escalation.
• Responding to emergency situations, particularly overdose response.
