We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Hardware Designer to join our engineering team. This role will focus on the design and development of mixed-signal electronics used in industrial battery systems and hybrid power solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with firmware engineers, mechanical designers, and production teams to design reliable and high-performance electronic systems for demanding industrial environments. This role requires strong experience in PCB design, power electronics, and embedded hardware development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware Design: Design mixed-signal electronic systems including power, control, and embedded circuitry for battery and power management systems.
  • PCB Development: Design multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer, including schematic capture, layout, and design rule validation.
  • Power Electronics Integration: Develop and integrate analog, digital, and power electronics subsystems used in portable power and energy storage products.
  • Embedded Hardware Development: Work with STM32-based microcontroller platforms and support firmware teams with hardware integration and debugging.
  • Design Validation: Participate in hardware bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation of new electronic designs.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation including schematics, BOMs, design notes, and revision tracking.
  • Version Control: Work within version-controlled repositories to manage hardware design revisions and maintain engineering records.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineering, firmware development, and production teams to ensure manufacturable and robust designs
To succeed in this role you will need:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail in electronic design and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • A proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams
Education & experience:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience with mixed-signal hardware design (power and control electronics)
  • Strong background in analog, digital, and power electronics
  • Minimum 3 years experience using Altium Designer
  • Experience working with STM32 microcontroller architecture
  • Experience working within version-controlled repositories
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or cloud-based engineering workflows is considered an asset
