Octasic is seeking a Senior Hardware Designer in Montreal to contribute to all stages of telecom hardware development—from architecture and specifications to bring-up and certification. You will collaborate with production, test, and customer support teams to deliver reliable hardware platforms.

You will lead PCB design, thermal management, and EMI considerations, and oversee product lifecycle changes while ensuring compliance with safety and EMC standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in digital and analog circuit development.
• Fluent in French and English; spoken French is required.
• Strong oscilloscope debugging skills with a high degree of autonomy and attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Define architecture and requirements for new hardware products.
• Design hardware from concept through mass production.
• Create electrical schematics and oversee PCB design.
• Lead bring-up, debugging, and certification for safety and EMC.
• Support production, test development, and customer support teams.
• Manage product lifecycle including obsolescence and hardware changes.
