Lactalis Canada is hiring a Manager, Research & Development (Hard Cheese). You will lead the R&D hard cheese portfolio, drive innovation, and coordinate teams to meet project goals while ensuring QA and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on product development, process optimization, and cost-saving initiatives within a collaborative, safety-focused environment. Join a legacy dairy leader shaping the Canadian dairy landscape.

Qualifications

• University degree in Food Science, microbiology, chemistry, or related discipline.
• Master’s or PhD in related discipline an asset.
• Minimum ten (10) years experience in dairy or food industry.
• Supervisory experience is an asset.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead hard cheese product development plans and resources to execute initiatives.
• Provide technical direction and interpret results for R&D projects.
• Communicate product development requirements to Leadership, Marketing, Sales, and R&D.
• Support cost reduction programs related to product categories.
• Manage plant trials and budget alignment with SR&ED objectives.
• Develop and mentor staff, fostering career growth and engagement.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations in the dairy environment.
