Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking friendly and confident Security Professionals to work at an industrial site in Hanna, Alberta. The role involves rotating day and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a focus on safety, customer service, and incident response.

This casual position requires Alberta Security licensing, strong communication skills, and the ability to work physically demanding duties across varied shifts. Training and licensing assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain client relations.
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches.
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies promptly.
• De-escalate crises and liaise with police, fire and paramedics.
• Exercise crowd control and manage trespassers.
• Write clear incident and daily reports including investigations.
• Provide first aid and medical response when required.
• Use two-way radios and computer systems to communicate site activities.
• Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries.

We are looking for friendly and confident Security Professionals to work at an industrial site in Hanna, Alberta.

This job may be physically demanding due to the varied physical requirements. This job requires applicants to be able to work both day and overnight shift rotations as well as weekends and holidays.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedic resources
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
• Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reports
• Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
• Handle Lost & Found items and inquires

Job Requirements

• Currently hold a valid Alberta Security license, or have the ability to obtain one
• Paladin will help with obtaining a license if not currently licensed!
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
• Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
