Description:

We are seeking a Labourer to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Calgary, AB. The Labourer will assist tradespersons with preventative maintenance and inspection tasks.

Where We Work and Live:

Our maintenance teams provide preventative and corrective maintenance services across Alberta. This position requires travel as our teams are mobile.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the implementation of the preventive maintenance plan;
2. Support various project tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drywalling, and warehouse support;
3. Help tradespersons with inspections and general maintenance tasks;
4. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment;
5. Suggest alternative solutions to prevent delays;
6. Organize supplies and manage pick-up and drop-off logistics;
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident with at least 5 years residing in Canada;
2. At least one year of experience in general trades; experience in electrical construction or maintenance is a strong asset;
3. Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving record;
4. Strong mechanical skills and understanding of building components and equipment;
5. Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
