Job summary

Teguar Corporation in New Brunswick is seeking an IT Director to own the company’s IT infrastructure, security program, and AI tooling governance. This hands-on leader manages MSPs and drives ISO 27001 readiness, cyber-risk management, and compliant AI adoption across locations.

You will script lightweight automations, collaborate with Product and Operations to productionize AI initiatives, and build audit-ready artifacts while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience with hands-on security framework exposure (ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST CSF).
• Experience managing or transitioning an outsourced MSP relationship is required.
• Hands-on scripting or development experience to build internal automations and integrations (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Experience deploying AI tools in a business setting with data governance considerations.
• Ability to operate as Teguar’s sole in-house IT/security resource in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day IT infrastructure, network, firewall, servers, and locations.
• Oversee full lifecycle of company endpoints and devices, including procurement and decommissioning.
• Manage outsourced MSP relationships and transition to new service models when needed.
• Implement core security controls: MFA, conditional access, patching, encryption, and DR planning.
• Evaluate, deploy, and govern AI tooling with access controls and guardrails.
• Write lightweight scripts and integrations to automate workflows and AI-assisted processes.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Operations to move AI initiatives to production.
• Develop ISO 27001 readiness artifacts and support cyber insurance applications.
• Respond to customer security questionnaires with clear network and security details.
• Coordinate EU Cyber Resilience Act and IEC 62443 readiness with product teams.
• Document and test incident response, backup, and recovery procedures.
