Hercules SLR Inc. in Truro, NS is seeking a hands-on shop team member to support daily operations in a safety-forward environment. You will perform maintenance, assist with deliveries, and help keep the shop organized and efficient.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, a practical troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to tow an 18-foot trailer. Training for forklift operation and OHS responsibilities is provided after hire.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Comfort around tools, machinery, and mechanical components.
• Valid Class 3 driver’s license and ability to tow an 18-foot trailer.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Tear down and reassemble hydraulic cylinders and gearboxes.
• Perform general machinery maintenance under supervision.
• Maintain and organize the tool crib and monitor inventory.
• Cut raw materials for customer jobs using bandsaws.
• Complete customer deliveries, including towing an 18-foot trailer.
• Operate a forklift (training provided after hire).
• Keep fleet vehicles clean and organized.
