Job summary

Newlands Group in Vaughan, Ontario is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from pre-construction through turnover. You will coordinate schedules, budgets, procurement, and teams, with hands-on involvement across low-rise, high-rise, and ICI works in the GTA.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of PM experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, consultants, and subcontractors while delivering on time

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience across low-rise, high-rise, and ICI projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and forecasting capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from pre-construction through turnover.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
• Coordinate with owners, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Oversee documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and site instructions.
• Monitor progress, costs, quality, and schedule performance.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Lead project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure quality and budget compliance.
• Collaborate with site teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Review and approve progress claims, invoices, and project costs.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety, and contractual obligations.
