Job summary

COFOMO in Montreal is seeking a Guidewire Business Analyst with 8+ years of business/functional analysis experience and Guidewire ACE certification. The role focuses on collecting requirements, translating them into user stories, and supporting Guidewire solution delivery within a property & casualty insurance context.

The candidate will work Hybrid in Montreal, collaborating across business and technology teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in administration, computer science, information systems or a relevant discipline.
• Eight years of relevant experience in business analysis or functional analysis, including five years as a systems business analyst with the Guidewire platform.
• Experience in the field of property and casualty insurance.
• Proficient in collecting, analyzing and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Write user stories, functional specifications, business rules and impact analyses.
• Be familiar with Agile delivery approaches and the preparation and execution of functional and user acceptance tests.
• Hold Guidewire ACE certification.
• Knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML and JSON technologies.
• Master business processes in damage insurance.
• Use Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as an intermediary between business and technology teams to collect, analyze and document business and functional needs.
• Participate in business process analysis and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency and business value.
• Translate business needs into user stories, business rules, functional specifications and other deliverables.
• Prepare impact analyses, process diagrams and functional documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, quality specialists, architectural consultants and business partners to ensure a common understanding of needs and solutions.
• Contribute to the analysis, design, planning, and implementation of Guidewire solutions.
• Define test cases and support functional validation and user acceptance activities.
• Follow up on incidents, evolution requests and functional issues with teams.
• Support the resolution of production issues and assist users as required.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.
