Job summary

Dexterra Group in Canada invites a Guest Services Agent to join our camp facility. The regular shift is 20 days on and 10 days off with 10-hour workdays; transportation to site from Edmonton is provided.

You will welcome guests, handle check-in/out, manage bookings in MS Office, support the Lodge Manager with administrative tasks, and uphold safety and WHMIS requirements. This role offers an excellent work-life balance with extended health and dental benefits and growth opportunities as part of

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year in hotel guest service or administrative work.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in a remote lodge setting.
  • At least 1 year in accounting, including LEMS, receiving reports, work orders, payroll data entry.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills and property management software; Logistiks knowledge is a plus.
  • Must achieve at least 80% on the WHMIS test.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and informing clients.
  • First point of contact for inquiries via email or phone.
  • Allocating guests rooms and issuing keys/cards.
  • Managing check-in/check-out processes.
  • Accurate data entry for bookings and payments.
  • Providing camp information and soliciting client feedback.
  • Reviewing safety documents, time sheets, and site maintenance.
  • Completing reports in MS Excel and documentation in MS Word.

Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?
Based in a world class Dexterra camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 20 days on and 10 days off, with 10-hour workdays. Transportation is provided to site from a pickup point in Edmonton.

TheGuest Services Agentgoes beyond checking in and out. You are responsible for acting as an ambassador by providing outstanding customer service to clients and assisting the Lodge Manager with all levels of administrative duties.

This position is safety sensitive and requires drug,alcohol and fit to work testing as a condition of employment.

Your work will include:

  • Welcoming and providing introductory information to clients
  • Serve as the first point of contact for any inquiries related to site and client matters; either through e-mail or phone
  • Allocating guests rooms and issuing room keys and cards
  • Managing the check-in, check-out process for clients
  • Ensuring accurate database entry for room bookings and payments, as well as multiple data entry
  • Providing information about the camp, its rules and policies as well as soliciting client feedback
  • Assisting in the review of various paperwork such as safety documents, time sheets, and site related maintenance
  • Assisting in the completion of reports in MS Excel and documentation in MS Word

  • Minimum of 1 year hotel guest service agent and/or administrative experience is required
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a remote lodge setting
  • Minimum of 1 year accounting experience that includes, but is not limited to; LEMS, receiving reports, work orders, payroll data entry
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite and any Property Management software - knowledge ofLogistikssoftware is considered an asset
  • Successful candidate MUST obtain a 80% make or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
