Job summary

Spring Creek Vacations is seeking a dedicated Guest Service Agent/Room Attendant to deliver exceptional guest service by combining front desk duties with housekeeping. This full-time role supports the property's smooth operation in Canmore, Canada.

You will greet guests, handle check-ins, respond to inquiries, clean suites, launder linens, and assist with reservations and payments using the WebRezPro system. A keen eye for cleanliness and guest satisfaction is essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean Vacation Property suites: strip/make beds, clean bathrooms, wipe surfaces, dust, vacuum, wash floors, remove garbage, clean kitchens.
• Deep clean Vacations units on schedule or annually.
• Handle laundry: sort, wash, dry, fold, organize linens and supplies.
• Deliver clean linens to Spring Creek Vacations properties.
• Assist with inspection of vacated rental units and final inspections.
• Organize items for recycling.
• Clean units in buildings under construction prior to occupancy; address deficiencies/warranty cleanups.
• Assist with reservations using WebRezPro for vacation rentals; process payments.
• Greet, check in guests and respond to inquiries about area attractions and amenities.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally; respond to on-site emergencies per procedures.
• Keep the Vacations Office tidy and perform end-of-shift reconciliations.

Job description

The Guest Service Agent/Room Attendant is a full‑time position responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while performing both front desk and housekeeping functions to support the efficient operation of the property.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must possess a pleasant and professional telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong computer proficiency. Knowledge of the local area and attractions is considered an asset. While previous commercial or hotel/motel cleaning experience is preferred, it is not required. The position requires an individual who is physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods, as well as bending, lifting, and carrying up to 10 kg. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated, energetic, well‑organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of guest service and cleanliness.

DUTIES

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning the Vacation Property suites as required (stripping and making beds, cleaning toilets, bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and counter tops, washing floors, removing garbage, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning kitchen counter tops, cabinets, stoves, microwave ovens, refrigerators, and other cleaning as required).
• Deep cleaning of Vacations units annually or as scheduled.
• Doing laundry from the properties, which will include sorting soiled linens, loading and unloading washing machines, loading and unloading dryers, folding laundry and organizing linens and supplies in the supply and storage rooms. Laundry duties could also include organizing soiled and used linens to go out for cleaning.
• Delivering clean linens to the Spring Creek Vacations properties.
• Helping with the inspection of rental units that have been vacated by guests and doing a final inspection of rooms that have been cleaned.
• Organizing items for recycling.
• Cleaning finished units in buildings under construction prior to occupancy as required and directed. This may include cleaning up after deficiency / warranty work has been done in units.
• Taking on other cleaning tasks as assigned by either the Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor, or the Manager, Spring Creek Vacations.
• Making reservations using the WebRezPro property management system for vacation rental properties guests; enquiries may be made either by phone or email.
• Processing payments for Vacation Rental Properties stays.
• Greeting, welcoming, and checking in guests as they arrive.
• Responding to general enquiries about the area, local attractions and activities, and amenities in the area.
• Dealing with guests’ concerns in a timely, respectful, and appropriate manner.
• Responding to emergencies on site, following company procedures.
• Keeping the Vacations Office neat and tidy.
• Doing a reconciliation at the end of each shift.
