Job summary

Holiday Inn Ottawa Downtown - Parliament Hill is seeking a Hotel Room Attendant to clean and service guest rooms in accordance with brand standards. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and strong teamwork with the housekeeping team.

Responsibilities include changing linens, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing amenities, and ensuring rooms are secure after service. Weekend and holiday shifts are required in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping or hospitality is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment handling is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms daily per brand standards.
• Change bed linens and make beds neatly and efficiently.
• Vacuum carpets and floors in guest rooms and corridors.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Sanitize bathrooms thoroughly (sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, mirrors).
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from surfaces and glass.
• Replenish amenities and present rooms according to standards.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly.
• Assist with general housekeeping tasks as needed.
