Job summary

OMERS / Oxford Properties Group seeks a Seasonal Guest Experience Representative for Scarborough Town Centre. You will greet guests, deliver hospitality-led service, and act as a brand ambassador in a retail environment.

Reporting to the Guest Experience Supervisor, you will assist guests with directions, information, and services, promote gift cards, and help execute centre events while upholding Oxford's service standards and a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field preferred (Hospitality/Marketing/Communications).
• Positive, friendly attitude with confidence engaging guests.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication; multilingual a plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hospitality-led guest experience as brand ambassador.
• Anticipate guests' needs and create memorable experiences.
• Maintain welcoming Guest Service area and adhere to standards.
• Assist guests with directions, information, and services; perform centre duties.
• Know Scarborough Town Centre services, amenities, stores, events.
• Promote Scarborough Town Centre Gift Cards through engagement.
• Support guest concerns with proper documentation and follow-up.
• Assist with promotions and events to drive engagement.

Seasonal Guest Experience Representative – Scarborough Town Centre

We are currently looking for highly motivated Seasonal Guest Experience Representatives to join our team at Scarborough Town Centre in Scarborough. At Oxford, we are committed to customer service excellence, delivered through a consistently elevated, hospitality‑led approach to every guest interaction. Reporting to the Guest Experience Supervisor, you will serve as a brand ambassador for Scarborough Town Centre, welcoming and assisting guests within a retail environment.

Please note that this is a seasonal fixed‑term position until January2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a brand ambassador for Scarborough Town Centre, delivering a hospitality‑led experience through proactive, personalised and meaningful interactions with guests
• Anticipate guests’ needs and proactively seek opportunities to create memorable experiences
• Ensure the Guest Service area remains a welcoming and refined environment, including adhering to Oxford service standards (e.g. uniform and etiquette guidelines)
• Assist customers with directions, information, and services while delivering other centre specific duties, as assigned
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the shopping centre’s services, amenities, facilities, stores, and promotional activities and/or events
• Actively promote and sell Scarborough Town Centre Gift Cards through proactive engagement and assisted selling techniques
• Support guest concerns, ensuring proper documentation, timely follow‑up and notifying relevant departments
• Assist with in‑centre promotional offers and events that enhance the overall guest experience and drive engagement

Required Skills & Experience

• Post‑secondary education in a related field preferred (i.e. Hospitality/tourism, Marketing/Communications)
• A positive and friendly attitude with the ability to engage guests confidently and initiate interactions
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; multilingual capabilities and considered an asset
• The ability to build rapport with shoppers, tenants, management, service providers, and all shopping centre personnel
• Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, while multi‑tasking and maintaining a high level of professionalism
• Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of social media, Google Sheets and Microsoft Office programs
• Availability to work range of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in retail, hospitality or guest services environment is an asset
• The ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift and perform light physical tasks as required, including lifting boxes
• Strong conflict resolution and problem‑solving abilities
• Effective organisational and time‑management skills

#IND1 #IDOAC This posting is for an existing vacancy. The expected hourly range for this position is $18.00-$19.00 per hour. You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short‑term Incentive plan and our Long‑Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
