Job summary

The Metcalfe Hotel, a member of the Gray Collection in Ottawa, is seeking a Guest Service Representative to deliver warm, personalized service at check-in and check-out. You will manage reservations, handle payments, respond to guest requests, and promote hotel facilities within a culture that values teamwork and safety.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of front desk experience, strong computer skills (Opera preferred), and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years front desk or hospitality experience is required.
• Fluency in English and French is an asset.
• Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Night Audit training and coverage possibility.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out with personalized service.
• Process reservations and settle guest accounts accurately.
• Create memorable guest experiences and promote hotel facilities.
• Handle guest inquiries promptly via email, phone, or in person.
• Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and interactions.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to optimize occupancy and guest satisfaction.
