Job summary

Germain Hotels in Ottawa welcomes a courteous Valet/Bellman to greet guests on arrival and assist with parking and luggage. You will describe room features, deliver mail, and keep the lobby neat, ensuring a warm, service-oriented experience.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid license with manual transmission capability, and good physical condition for long standing and walking—experience in guest services is a plus. Unionized position with hourly pay and hotel perks offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Natural customer service orientation - with experience, an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive in manual mode.
• Good physical condition: able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Manage entry and exit traffic in front of the hotel, greeting and informing guests with a smile; provide parking procedures and directions.
• Bring and collect luggage on request.
• Describe the features of guests' rooms.
• Deliver mail and parcels.
• Keep the lobby clean and tidy.
