Job summary

Birks, Canada’s premier luxury jeweler, seeks a Director of Retail Stores for the Greater Toronto Area to lead two banners and optimize regional performance. The role drives sales, profitability, and operational excellence while shaping talent development across the GTA stores.

The candidate will lead strategy, budgeting, and store standards to ensure an exceptional client experience, with accountability for leadership development and succession planning across the region.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience managing 2 distinct banners is a strong asset.
• Experience in luxury and/or Prestige is a strong asset.
• Bachelor Degree in relevant area.
• Excellent communication skills to present at senior level and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional sales, profitability, and KPI targets for GTA stores across both banners.
• Develop and manage regional sales, expense and profit plans to meet financial targets.
• Contribute to long-term growth strategies and market expansion in the GTA.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to enhance operations and customer experience.
• Lead reviews and communicate regional performance to senior leadership.
