Job summary

Groupe Dynamite Inc. seeks a Senior Coordinator in Indirect Procurement to support purchasing for our Distribution Centre and new store openings. You will collaborate with Store Operations and cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes, analyze data, and drive value.

The right candidate brings 5+ years in procurement, strong P2P experience, and solid knowledge of procurement and accounting principles, with excellent communication in French and English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement/supply chain experience, preferably indirect procurement.
  • Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems and process optimization.
  • Strong understanding of procurement and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and PO software (Reqlogic, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders based on contracts, quotes, and stakeholder requests.
  • Manage procurement activities for indirect goods and services, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders to clarify order details and address inquiries.
  • Track status of open purchase orders and resolve delays.
  • Maintain records and databases reflecting changes, receipts, and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounts Payable to reconcile invoices and payments.
  • Support Procure-to-Pay process improvements and continuous optimization initiatives.
  • Assist in procurement projects and store openings as needed.

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Coordinator within our Indirect Procurement Department. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the efficient procurement of indirect goods and services while supporting cross-functional teams across the organization. This role supports purchasing for our Distribution Centre and new store openings, working closely with the Store Operations team. The ideal candidate will bring experience, initiative, and a proactive approach to optimizing procurement processes, taking on analytical tasks, and driving added value for the department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders based on contracts, quotes, and stakeholder requests;
  • Manage procurement activities for indirect goods and services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders to clarify order details and address procurement inquiries;
  • Track and monitor the status of open purchase orders, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or delays;
  • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and databases to reflect changes, receipts, and reconciliations;
  • Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable teams to reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate timely supplier payments;
  • Optimize procurement processes by leveraging experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems, ensuring efficiency and alignment with best practices;
  • Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement workflows and processes;
  • Coordinate the purchasing of supplies for the Distribution Centre and for new store openings, ensuring needs are met on schedule;
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Store Operations team to anticipate needs and ensure smooth execution of orders;
  • Monitor and follow orders from placement to delivery, reacting quickly to delays, shortages, or changes in priorities;
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of supplies, tracking usage and replenishing proactively to avoid shortages;
  • Lead or assist in one-off procurement projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role, with a strong preference for indirect procurement expertise;
  • Experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems and process optimization;
  • Strong understanding of procurement and accounting principles;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Purchase Order software (e.g., Reqlogic, SAP, Oracle, etc.);
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec.
