Job summary

Groupe Dynamite Inc. is seeking a Senior Coordinator in Indirect Procurement to support cross-functional teams and optimize procurement for our Distribution Centre and new store openings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement/supply chain experience, indirect procurement preferred
  • Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and optimization
  • Strong understanding of procurement and accounting principles
  • Proficiency with PO software (Reqlogic, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in French and English for daily supplier and stakeholder communication

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders based on contracts, quotes, and stakeholder requests
  • Manage procurement activities for indirect goods and services, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance
  • Serve as main point of contact for internal stakeholders to clarify orders and address inquiries
  • Track and monitor status of open purchase orders and resolve delays
  • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and databases reflecting changes and receipts
  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounts Payable to reconcile invoices and facilitate timely payments
  • Leverage P2P systems to optimize procurement workflows and efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes
  • Coordinate purchasing for Distribution Centre and new store openings
  • Build strong relationships with Store Operations to anticipate needs
  • Monitor orders from placement to delivery and adjust for delays
  • Maintain inventory levels and proactive replenishment
  • Lead or support procurement projects as assigned by management

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Coordinator within our Indirect Procurement Department. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the efficient procurement of indirect goods and services while supporting cross-functional teams across the organization. This role supports purchasing for our Distribution Centre and new store openings, working closely with the Store Operations team. The ideal candidate will bring experience, initiative, and a proactive approach to optimizing procurement processes, taking on analytical tasks, and driving added value for the department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders based on contracts, quotes, and stakeholder requests;
  • Manage procurement activities for indirect goods and services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders to clarify order details and address procurement inquiries;
  • Track and monitor the status of open purchase orders, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or delays;
  • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and databases to reflect changes, receipts, and reconciliations;
  • Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable teams to reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate timely supplier payments;
  • Optimize procurement processes by leveraging experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems, ensuring efficiency and alignment with best practices;
  • Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement workflows and processes;
  • Coordinate the purchasing of supplies for the Distribution Centre and for new store openings, ensuring needs are met on schedule;
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Store Operations team to anticipate needs and ensure smooth execution of orders;
  • Monitor and follow orders from placement to delivery, reacting quickly to delays, shortages, or changes in priorities;
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of supplies, tracking usage and replenishing proactively to avoid shortages;
  • Lead or assist in one-off procurement projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role, with a strong preference for indirect procurement expertise;
  • Experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems and process optimization;
  • Strong understanding of procurement and accounting principles;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Purchase Order software (e.g., Reqlogic, SAP, Oracle, etc.);
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec.
