Groupe Dynamite Inc. in Montréal is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to manage production calendars, supplier relationships, and cost negotiations for apparel imports.

You will collaborate across departments to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards. The role requires 7–10 years of related experience in the apparel industry, strong knowledge of production cycles, and bilingual English/French communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish the business unit sourcing strategy with VP support and adhere to it
• Determine monthly capacity plans for suppliers and manage variances
• Monitor and ensure Timelines/Actions are followed by suppliers
• Ensure suppliers meet quality and compliance standards
• Ensure suppliers can deliver merchandise by required dates
• Analyze supplier costs and negotiate final pricing
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments
• Source fabrics and negotiate costs
• Review tech packages for accuracy
• Communicate daily with overseas suppliers
• Provide guidance to Import Coordinator

Job Summary

Reporting to the VP Sourcing, the Sourcing Specialist is responsible for applicable aspects of the production process and ensures cross-functional collaboration with all relevant stakeholders to ensure production calendar timelines are met and delivery schedules adhered to.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for establishing the business unit sourcing strategy along with VP support, and to adhere to it once established;
• Determine monthly capacity plans for the suppliers and respect them within reasonable variance;
• Monitor to ensures accurate timelines are created and adhered to by assigned suppliers (Time & Action);
• Ensures suppliers meet all requirements on quality and compliance standards;
• Ensures suppliers’ capability to produce merchandise for required delivery date;
• Analyzes cost breakdowns from suppliers and negotiates final price;
• Collaborates with cross-functional departments;
• Sources new fabrics and negotiates fabric costs;
• Reviews all tech packages and ensures accuracy of details;
• Communicates daily with suppliers overseas;
• Provides guidance to Import Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Design or a related field and/or DEC in Fashion Marketing or Fashion Design;
• 7-10 years related, import and/or production experience (apparel industry);
• Extensive understanding of production cycle, of fabric and impact on design;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Be able to make tough decisions;
