Job description

Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians

At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly expanding tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

  • LinkedIn’s Top Startup in Canada for 2022 and 2023
  • Top-ranked mobile apps and credit cards
  • Team of 700+ people
  • 1M+ customers

The Role

Group Product Managers (GPMs) are strategic people leaders and product visionaries who manage a group of 3–5 product managers (APM to Principal level), while owning the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major product portfolio. GPMs sit at the intersection of product craft, business impact, and team leadership—ensuring that Neo ships exceptional products that move the needle for our customers and our business.

You’ll be responsible for shaping long-term vision, aligning cross-functional teams, and elevating the performance of your PM team. This is a high-impact leadership role for experienced product leaders who know how to set bold direction , grow talent , and deliver measurable outcomes .

You are both a craftsman of product and a strategic thinker—able to zoom out and connect company strategy to product bets, while still caring deeply about executional quality. If you're passionate about building 0→1 products, scaling new business lines, or transforming customer experiences—this is your playground.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 3–5 product managers (from Associate to Principal level), setting clear goals, coaching on product craft, and supporting their long-term career growth.
  • Define and drive the product strategy across your portfolio—owning the roadmap, identifying big bets, and ensuring your team is solving the right problems.
  • Build a high-performing, healthy product organization, with the right rituals, decision-making processes, and feedback loops to balance speed and quality.
  • Own business outcomes, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to drive growth, margin, and user impact.
  • Attract, hire, and performance-manage top talent, helping Neo scale its product organization while raising the bar on what great looks like.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, clearly communicating priorities, trade-offs, and risks—ensuring alignment across stakeholders and functions.
  • Foster a culture of customer obsession, experimentation, and accountability, empowering your team to move quickly and own outcomes end to end.

Who we are looking for:

  • Strategic and visionary think, you lead with strategy, inspire through storytelling, and bring clarity to complexity.
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 1 year as a GPM.
  • Proven success building and scaling B2C or B2B2C products in fast-paced environments like high-growth tech, fintech, or platform businesses.
  • Strong domain expertise in a relevant area: B2C Growth, UX and Journeys, Credit & Lending, AI, Platforms, or Infrastructure. You bring new depth to the Neo team.
  • Business ownership mindset: you’ve led cross-functional initiatives, owned a P&L, and collaborated closely with marketing, finance, legal, or operations to drive impact.
  • Builder’s DNA: you’re comfortable working from ambiguity, rapidly testing ideas, and driving 0→1 innovation.

Working at Neo:

The people who thrive at Neo are resourceful, growth-oriented, and driven to win. We hold ourselves to high standards because we’re on a mission that matters: to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. As individuals and as a team, we constantly challenge ourselves and each other to do our best work for our customers. Our commitment to customer success drives everything we do, from building intuitive products to providing exceptional support at every step of their journey. If this resonates with you, keep reading.

We trust, respect, and support each other. This means honest conversations, constructive input, and continuous support. You’ll be surrounded by people who push you to be your best. We primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices. As we evolve rapidly, we’re looking for change-makers who thrive on challenge—people who would rather blaze a trail through uncertainty than follow a well-paved path.

All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options. This ownership mindset is at the heart of everything we do — when Neo grows, we all grow. If you’ve heard that Neo employees work hard, it’s true. We hold ourselves accountable for delivering on our commitments to our customers, partners, and each other.
