Job summary

Vézina Assurances Inc., a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC company (MMA Vézina), is seeking a Group Insurance and Group Annuity Plans Advisor to join the Sales team in Montréal. The role manages an established client portfolio and develops new business opportunities through presentations, proposals, and targeted outreach.

We value a candidate with at least 5 years in Group Insurance, fluency in French, and strong MS Office skills. Proficiency with EPIC software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Group Insurance or related field.
• Fluency in French required for client and partner interactions.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Bachelor’s degree; AMF license and LLQP designation are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow an established client portfolio while pursuing new business opportunities.
• Present proposals, conduct prospecting calls, and prepare client writings.
• Develop and renew relationships with clients and insurers for favorable terms.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners and participate in events to expand the network.
• Support pricing, proposal development, and insurer negotiations as needed.

A day in the life

As a Group Insurance and Group Annuity Plans Advisor within the Sales team, you will be tasked with various responsibilities aimed at managing, independently, an established client portfolio while also developing new business opportunities. Whether through client presentations, prospecting calls, proposals, various writings, or other activities, your thoroughness and ability to respond effectively to your clients’ needs will be essential on a daily basis.

Maintaining and developing strong relationships with your current and prospective clients, following up on requests with insurers, identifying markets and clients needs and developing new opportunities will be at the heart of your activities. You will ensure the delivery of a high-quality service, highlight the added value of our services, and keep all client files up to date. You will also work closely with Financial Analysts during renewals in order to establish the best conditions and terms for new prospects and clients.

Building strong relationships with all your internal and external partners will be essential in your role as a Group Insurance and Group Annuity Plans Advisor. In this capacity, participating in events and professional gatherings will be integral to your job to expand your network, as well as to stay informed about market trends and opportunities.

We would like to meet you if your professional background includes these qualifications and you have these skills:

• Hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Group Insurance field and/or any other relevant experience in a related field;
• Proficiency in French is required, as this position involves contact with regional and international clients and/or external or internal partners.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

These additional qualifications and skills are a plus, but are not mandatory to apply:

• Hold a Group insurance of persons license issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF);
• A bachelor’s degree;
• Hold the LLQP designation;
• Demonstrates strong understanding and analytical capability in proposal development, pricing, and insurer negotiation processes;
