Job summary

Gasparetto Inc. in Dartmouth, NS, invites applications for a Group Controller to oversee accounting and financial reporting across the Group.

You will lead month‑end and year‑end closes, prepare statements and management reports, and support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow projections. You will partner with operational leadership to ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial information, while driving continuous improvement and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• CPA designation (or pursuing) strongly preferred.
• Five to ten years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions of operating businesses across equipment rental, service and construction industries.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions of real estate, management and other non‑operating entities.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate year‑end reviews, audits and tax compliance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ASPE and internal controls.
