People Corporation in Toronto is seeking an Underwriter to evaluate group insurance applications. This role involves analyzing risk, preparing proposals, and building relationships with insurance carriers and clients.

The Underwriter reviews group insurance (primarily life, disability, health and dental) policies to evaluate risk and determine acceptance of applications. The core skills of analytics, communication and relationship building are vital as they work to ensure a balance between attracting and retaining customers. This will be achieved by providing competitive insurance premiums and covering potential losses from claims.

The base salary for this position is between $60,000 - 75,000 annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
