Job summary

People Corporation seeks a Benefits Analyst - Marketing to support group benefits consulting for existing clients and prospects, collaborating with internal teams and vendor partners. You will market new opportunities, analyze carrier proposals for design and pricing accuracy, and develop polished client-ready presentations and cost comparisons.

The role also coordinates underwriting and supports producers to manage the pipeline.

Job description

The Benefits Analyst will provide group benefits consulting support, including design, financial management and ongoing servicing for existing clients and prospects. The Benefits Analyst will work closely with internal consulting teams, interface with vendors, support client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met.

The Benefits Analyst - Marketing will:

• New Business Marketing & Quoting: Market new group benefit opportunities to multiple insurance carriers. Analyze carrier proposals for plan design alignment, and pricing accuracy. Prepare professional proposal packages and side-by-side comparisons for producer review. Ensure all new business submissions are complete and meet underwriting requirements.
• Carrier & Underwriting Coordination: Serve as primary point of contact with carrier marketing representatives and underwriters for new business. Negotiate rates, plan adjustments, and underwriting exceptions when appropriate. Follow up on pending quotes and manage strict carrier deadlines. Maintain strong working relationships with multiple carrier partners.
• Proposal Development: Create polished, client-ready proposal presentations. Develop contribution modeling and cost comparisons. Ensure proposals clearly articulate the firm's value proposition.
• Producer Support: Collaborate with producers to understand prospect needs and competitive positioning. Track and manage new business pipeline activity.

To be successful as a Benefits Analyst-Marketing with People Corporation, you will need:

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in group benefits
• Knowledge of Canadian benefits industry and group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plans
• Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing demands in order to meet client and company needs
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sensitivity to confidential information

The base salary for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
