Description:

As a Group Account Director for Elite Digital you will be proactively leading the direction for the Elite “Agency” Division. You will act as a driving force to help ensure internal account teams are confident in their strategic approach and successfully able to execute on all deliverables as they work closely with internal teams.

You will provide high level hands on support to both the internal stakeholders and the client when required to ensure we can keep projects effectively moving forward and overcome any obstacles to ensure we are able to conquer their goals and drive portfolio growth.

The role encompasses a broad array of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment including creating marketing plans, brand strategy, tactical executions, building and managing relationships, growing the existing business, fostering new business development, managing budgets and financial forecasting along with mentoring and training the internal team to ensure we are delivering top quality work and focused on continuous improvements to elevate the caliber of products and service our clients receive. You will be part of the Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO and other Directors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and indirect management including overall accountability for a team of Account Directors, Account Supervisors, Account Managers, Account Executives, Account Coordinators, Project Managers and any other relevant roles deemed necessary and beneficial to the departmental success.
  • Manage, teach and mentor your team to assist in achieving individual, departmental and organizational KPI’s and growth.
  • Facilitate regular performance feedback for your team through written and verbal communication methods leveraging but not limited to the following: 1:1’s, informal check-ins and the formal performance appraisal process.
  • Conduct performance management, performance improvement and/or termination discussions when required.
  • Monitor and balance workload across your teams to ensure maximum productivity while meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations.
  • Support with new staffing requirements such as job description creation and consultation, resume screening along with the interview and selection process to help build a best-in-class team.
  • Direct and/or indirect management of key client relationships, ensuring their ultimate satisfaction.
  • Understand client’s business, industry, competitors, key drivers, environments, opportunities, etc.
  • Craft strategic marketing plans and brand strategies that align to client goals.
  • Drive RFP and client pitches to win new business, while supporting organic growth.
  • Communicate directly with clients on a frequent basis to strengthen agency/client relationships.
  • Provide strategic direction on all marketing materials while ensuring Elite’s high-quality standards are met.
  • Manage project execution to ensure processes are being followed and everything is industry compliant.
  • Build internal briefs to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering digital marketing programs.
  • Scope & quote projects while managing budgets to ensure all deliverables are properly mapped out and achieved.
  • Financial and resource management, analysis, forecasting and reporting.
  • Responsible for meeting organizational, departmental and individual KPI’s and development of business plans.
  • Provide process analysis and recommendations along with assistance in creation and implementation of new processes.
  • Conduct procedural efficiency audits to ensure we are regularly challenging ourselves to optimize success.
  • Have an unwavering desire to find creative ways to drive maximum value for our clients.
  • Contribute to organizational analysis with new ideas and strategic planning along with execution support to assist in shaping and achieving macro level business goals.
  • Arrange, attend and participate in productive meetings and proactively communicate with a solution focused mindset within the leadership team, inter-departmentally and cross functionally with teams across the organization.
  • Be an active and engaged contributor to a positive, innovative, collaborative and supportive work environment and lead by example in demonstrating overall leadership qualities in all situations that employees can admire, learn from and aspire to replicate.
  • Stay up to date on industry and marketing news and trends to stay ahead of the curve.
Education & Training:
  • College or University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams, focused on fostering growth and development.
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital marketing, account management, or a related role in an agency.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple client accounts and driving results.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate client needs and lead agency partners efficiently.
  • Experience in leading creative and production teams, developing strategic insights, and critiquing creative content.
  • Able to influence clients, internal stakeholders and management through strategic recommendations and data-driven insights, fostering strong relationships and driving impactful marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to command a room, steer conversations towards consensus, and read a room to foster a balanced and healthy client relationship.
  • Understanding digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Strong leadership qualities with an ability to motivate teams, manage resource allocation and workload balance.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on detail and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience in managing multi level small to medium size teams.
