Job summary

Arbor Memorial's Regina Funeral Home & Cemetery in Regina, Saskatchewan, is seeking a dedicated professional to maintain grounds and support burial and memorial services. The role is based at a site with substantial interment activity and a reception and administrative footprint.

Qualifications

  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Mechanically inclined with formal training or experience.
  • Heavy equipment operator’s training or certification.
  • IPM certificate would be an asset.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to multitask and set priorities.
  • Previous landscaping, horticultural and/or cemetery experience, and a demonstrated interest in working outdoors would be assets.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
  • Exemplifies Arbor’s values of compassion, integrity, trust, teamwork, belonging and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be required to perform ground burials and cremation niche interments.
  • All aspects of cemetery care including customer service, memorial and monument installations, equipment maintenance and grounds maintenance.

About this role:
Regina Funeral Home & Cemetery in Regina, Saskatchewan

Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery has over 35 developed acres and performs more than 375 interments annually. The property includes an onsite reception center, funeral home, administration and sales office and indoor Mausoleum and Columbarium.

The successful candidate for this position strives to keep pace with the ever-changing service demands and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of our customers in a sensitive and professional manner.

This position is based on a 40-hour work week and may change as required for the needs of the business including working overtime as required.

Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities:
