Job summary

The Miller Group is seeking a Groundsperson to join our quarry crew in Canada. You will operate and handle construction tools, assist with general labour, maintain site cleanliness, and support equipment maintenance.

The role emphasizes safety, PPE, and a proactive approach to a fast-paced work environment. Willingness to work shifts and weekends, possess a valid driver’s license, and have mechanical aptitude are required.

  • Willing to work shift work and weekends.
  • Mechanically inclined and able to use basic construction tools.
  • Prior construction or operating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and handle various construction tools and assist in general labour.
  • Assist in site cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
  • Haul materials and work around belts, crushers and aggregate equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols, wear PPE and maintain a safe work environment.

Compensation Data

$25-$30 per hour.

Day in the Life

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the world of construction as a Groundsperson and become the backbone of our quarry crew. From operating and handling various construction tools to shoveling in and around belts and crushers, you will have a complete understanding of our aggregate division as you perform general labour duties. You will also assist in site cleanliness and equipment general maintenance. Whether it's hauling materials, wielding power tools like a pro, or mastering the art of aggregate equipment, everyday brings a new adventure.

Safety will always be your number one priority as you adhere to protocols, wear PPE, keep a keen eye out for any potential hazards, communicate effectively, and promote an overall safe culture.
