The Mark Anthony Group’s CedarCreek winery in Kelowna, BC is seeking a Groundskeeper for the seasonal, on-site role. You will work with the team to maintain landscapes, assist in pruning, mowing, planting, and preparing grounds for winery events.

  • Previous experience or a passion for horticulture.
  • Ability to use hand and mechanical tools.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Physically fit and capable of bending as well as lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
  • Working outdoors, in all weather conditions is required.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Improve or maintain the health of plants in the landscape and natural environment.
  • Assist in pruning, mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, and tidying gardens and grounds.
  • Help set up and take down for winery events/concert series.
  • Prune, thin and harvest fruit trees.
  • Maintain the gardens of winery residences.
  • Perform other duties to maintain a clean and well‑maintained landscape.

The Life of a Groundskeeper
  • Responsible for working with the team to improve or maintain the health of the plants in the landscape and within the natural environment
  • Participate in pruning, mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, pressure washing, fertilizing, raking, weeding, and tidying gardens and grounds
  • Assist in the set up and take down for winery events/concert series
  • Pruning, thinning and harvesting fruit trees
  • Maintain the gardens of winery residences
  • Perform other duties to maintain a clean and well-maintained landscaped environment and property in general
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience or a passion for horticulture
  • Ability to use hand and mechanical tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Physically fit and capable of bending as well as lifting and carrying up to 22.7 kg (50 lbs)
  • Working outdoors, in all weather conditions is required
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a team environment

  • You are authentic, diplomatic, thoughtful, and always have the best intentions
