Under the direction of the general manager, the Ground Service Equipment Technician supports the maintenance and ground services departments. The technician is responsible for utilizing appropriate tooling, equipment, and materials to maintain and repair ground service equipment owned by Snowbird Aviation Services.
Typically, a high school diploma and a valid automotive service technician, commercial transport mechanic, or heavy-duty mechanic certification with at least 5 years of progressive experience. Pre-employment exams must be passed. Experience with aviation ground service maintenance, especially de-icing equipment, is an asset. Additional certificates/licenses such as advanced fuel injection, diesel engine tune-up, air conditioning, refrigeration, automotive inspection, WHMIS, and dangerous goods awareness are assets. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
