Job summary

Rise Air, Saskatchewan's largest full-service airline operator and Indigenous-owned, seeks a Ground Service Equipment Technician to support maintenance and ground services. You will use diagnostic tools to maximize reliability, inspect and repair equipment, and coordinate parts and external repairs while traveling to bases across Saskatchewan.

Requirements include a valid Class 5 driver's license, 5 years of maintenance experience, and trades certification ( automotive/heavy‑duty).

Qualifications

  • Valid trades certification in automotive or heavy-duty mechanics.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive maintenance experience with troubleshooting.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and replace components on ground support equipment.
  • Coordinate with maintenance stores to ensure timely availability of parts.
  • Coordinate external repair work with service providers to ensure quality, cost, and schedule expectations are met.
  • Fabricate and modify ground support equipment to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain ground equipment facilities and tooling to safety and quality standards.
  • Travel regularly to company bases to inspect, service, and repair equipment across Saskatchewan.

Skills

Class 5 Driver's License
Mechanical troubleshooting
Maintenance experience

Education

Automotive trades certification (AS/CT/HD)
Commercial Transport Mechanic certification
Heavy-Duty Mechanic certification
