Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort is seeking a Groomer II to maintain skiable terrain with groomer vehicles at Ontario's largest mountain resort. The role requires operating in varying weather conditions and communicating with on-hill teams.

The position offers full-time hours with overnight shifts and an hourly rate of CAD 26.12, with opportunities to contribute to safety and efficiency on the slopes.

Qualifications

• Valid G license in good standing.
• Able to work independently as well as within a team.
• 3+ years grooming experience.
• Previous experience with heavy equipment is an asset.
• Mechanical skills are an asset.
• Knowledge of Resort winter terrain is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Groom all runs to a high standard using groomer vehicles.
• Operate GPS to improve decision making and efficiency.
• Perform pre-shift checks and post-shift duties including housekeeping and paperwork.
• Identify and report safety issues including lighting, signage and padding.
• Maintain relationships with Snowmaking, Slope Maintenance, Patrol, Lifts and Terrain Park staff.
• Assist in training of new staff and back-up Team Lead on Groomer Duty.
