Job summary

Nature's Fare Markets in West Kelowna, BC is seeking a Grocery Team Member dedicated to helping customers find the right products and learning about our local, organic and sustainable offerings. You will stock shelves, create appealing displays, and share knowledge to assist health-minded shoppers.

Regular store hours are Mon–Sat 8:00am–8:00pm and Sun 9:00am–7:00pm. Requires daytime and weekend availability with about 24 hours per week; perks include store discount, education allowance, and free

Qualifications

• Experience in grocery or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Experience in a customer service role is needed.
• A passion for local, organic and sustainable foods.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in an energetic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the department and build connections with new and regular shoppers.
• Assist customers with questions about products and provide suggestions based on their needs (training provided).
• Stock shelves throughout the day to keep products accessible.
• Use creativity to create attractive and organized displays.
• Learn about new and featured products from flyers and magazines.
• Be a team player, stay safe, and have fun.

GROCERY TEAM MEMBER

As part of one of our largest and most diverse departments, our Grocery Team Members are passionate about local, organic and sustainable food. You like helping others choose products that work best for their health and lifestyle, and you are eager to learn and try new products so you are confident in the information you are sharing! This role also keeps our shelves stocked and looking amazing through building creative displays.

Regular Store Hours:

Mon – Sat 8:00am – 8:00pm
Sun 9:00am – 7:00pm

*** Must have daytime and weekend availability and the flexibility to work when required - will be scheduled approximately 24 hours per week ***

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Give a warm “hello!” to our customers as they enter the department – we like building connections with our new and regular customers and sharing a laugh along the way.
• Assist customers with questions they may have about products we and give suggestions based on their needs (don’t worry, we will train you on this!)
• Work with your team to stock shelves throughout the day so it is easily accessible for customers when they need it.
• Use your creativity and eye for detail to make attractive and organized displays.
• Learn about new products and featured products that are on sale through Nature’s Fare’s flyers and magazines.
• In other words, you will help others, share your knowledge on our amazing products, be safe, be a great team player and have fun!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
