Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a full-time Grocery Department Manager!
Are you interested in a fast paced, customer devoted, and food loving environment?
Responsibilities include and are not limited to; day-to-day management of the Grocery Department including ordering, merchandising, providing superior customer service, leading and supporting relationships with their team, ensuring exceptional department standards, executing weekly planograms and sales planning. This role requires working closely with DSD Vendors, the ability to close/open the store, receive the DC Warehouse on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and operate within parameters of the Company Standards, Heath and Safety polices, merchandising standards as well as following up on Steritech results.
Applicants must:
• Have strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, train, develop, motivate and utilize employees.
• Have exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty.
• Demonstrate merchandising and promotional skills.
• Be goal and achievement oriented, while being felexible, adaptable to meet the needs of the business.
**Applicants with 3-5 years of experience in the food/retail industry is an asset. Prior knowledge of applications such as SAP (Cycle Counts, Scrapping, Credits, SPLAN), BOSS, STAS/Persona, Email and Signage is an asset. Power-jack Certification is also an asset.**
