Job summary

Thrifty-Foods in Victoria, BC is seeking a Grocery Supervisor to ensure a superior customer service experience by coaching and developing friendly, well-trained staff. You will supervise the department in the absence of the Department Manager and Assistant, fostering loyalty and engagement.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean areas, staying updated on weekly specials, accurate pricing, analyzing sales data, inventory control, and opening/closing duties while leading the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a retail or grocery setting.
• Full knowledge of department operations and skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Always keep work area clean and presentable.
• Remain current with weekly and in-store specials.
• Ensure accurate labeling of products through pricing strategies.
• Foster a shopping experience that enhances loyalty, sales and profit.
• Run, monitor and analyze sales data reports.
• Monitor compliance with SOP, OH&S and other corporate initiatives.
• Monitor execution of company inventory control procedures.
• Open and close duties.
• Lead department and act as the go-to person in the absence of a manager.
