Job summary

Stong’s Market is seeking a Market Team Member to help customers find products, keep the store organized, and provide high-quality service. You will assist shoppers, stock displays, handle cash at the register, and maintain a clean, safe store environment throughout the day.

Responsibilities include providing product information, stocking shelves, operating the cash register, and contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers in our BC locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent time management and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers to the appropriate aisle or shelf to aid purchasing decisions.
• Maintain a clean, safe store and ready for shoppers.
• Process cash register payments by cash, credit card, gift card and debit.
• Wrap and bag merchandise and carts.
• Balance cash at end of shift.
• Build and maintain grocery department displays.
• Stock and rotate products; unload/load groceries.
• Keep shelves stocked with fresh products.
• Backroom and inventory management.
• Prepare hot and cold foods (sandwiches, chicken, salads, soups, trays).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
